I am the K-4th Art & Technology Teacher at Groveport Community School. This is my third year of teaching, but my first year with Imagine. I am proud to be an Imagine teacher. My goal is to teach students how to develop their skills for self-expression through the visual arts. I want to help students obtain the knowledge needed to be part of society through studying art history, criticism, design fundamentals, and studio skills. I teach and live by a life-long learning approach, and as a teacher I am continuously expanding my own art work and education. On my own time I write beautiful calligraphy for weddings and events, as well as photography. I am always seeking out ways to expand my art skills. I am currently working on the schools student council, yearbook, and website. I am hoping to start an art club. Kindergarten: We have been working on our shapes and lines and this week we are putting them together to make furry friends:
Do love stories? Well our 1st graders took a dive into the ocean of dreams and worked on drawing the rest of the story. Check what they found under the Big Blue Sea.
We are learning Positive Negative space using a simple black paper.

The students learned too make pop-up houses and most chose to make them haunted houses....
What do we do after we learn about drawing animals, we show them in the circus!

We tried desiging our "California Happy Cow"
Students learned how to create a city scape then how to create a giant monster/alien/thing that takes over the city using pop-up techniques.
